PP Unwoven Geotextiles are a non‑woven textile product produced in white color by stitching and heat treating fibers based on pure polypropylene that are much finer than a millimeter.
**Applications and Use Areas**
**Filter Purpose**
In engineering applications where coarse and fine materials are used together, it is employed as a filter material to prevent the fine material from clogging the pores of the other material or from causing washing.
GeoTeknik PP Unwoven Geotextiles, recommended as a filter and bedding material for effective control and guidance of water, are used in the following areas:
- French drain channel
- Green roof drainage
- Perforated pipe coatings
- Vertical applications such as tunnels and retaining walls
- Coastal structures

For Separation Purpose
In structures planned to be built on weak soils, it is used under the foundation to prevent the building foundation from sinking into the ground, stabilize the ground, and reduce the risk of unexpected differential settlement.
In coastal structures, it is used as a filter and bedding material to prevent the fill material from shifting due to wave action. It effectively separates coarse and fine filter materials used in fill, preventing fine material from mixing with coarse material by the suction force generated by wave action.
For Protection Purpose
Due to its high puncture resistance, it is used on top of thermal insulation panels in terrace roof applications, protecting the materials underneath from impacts, allowing different work on the materials, and preventing cement slurry from flowing downward.
Because of its pressure‑distributing effect, it is used in building foundations to protect waterproofing applications.
Geomembranes applied in open fields protect against tearing or damage caused by puncture and excessive friction.
The geotextile rolled onto the prepared surface must be stretched tight to ensure full contact with the surface. To prevent the geotextile from slipping during backfilling, it should be applied with at least 25 cm bonded under the previous geotextile.
Advantages
It is manufactured using pure polypropylene fibers.
It has a structure that ensures homogeneous distribution of fibers through dense needle‑punching and superior manufacturing technology.
With production capability up to 6 m width, it provides the advantage of rapid application with minimal material and labor savings in large areas.
Due to the heat treatment applied during production, it is more durable than standard geotextiles.
Packaging and Storage
Materials are delivered in rolls 1–6 m wide and 30–200 m long.
Materials should be stored on flat ground and in a closed area.
Smoking is not allowed in the storage area.
Stored products should be kept away from direct sunlight, heat, and ignition sources.
